Director of Research

Job Summary:

As Director of Research, your position is responsible for the development, oversight and execution of market research strategies for projects the Company leads on behalf of its clients, as well as for greater consumption among the travel industry and media. You will act as a market research practitioner executing the Company’s research product and services lines, helping fulfill the Company’s revenue goals, and overall vision and mission.

Responsibilities:

As the Company’s Director of Research, your main responsibilities and required services include:

  • Lead the execution of proper market research, ensuring high integrity in the data collected, and meeting data collection and reporting deliverable goals on time and to our clients’ satisfaction.
  • Contribute at all stages and all steps of both quantitative and qualitative research projects when necessary, including, but not limited to, survey design, questionnaire writing, data analysis, report writing, presentation development and delivery, focus group and in-depth interview moderation, qualitative discussion guide development, qualitative study recruiting, and client communications.
  • Translate research data into actionable insights and recommendations through reports and presentations, which will have a high impact to Company’s clients
  • Anticipate client needs through intimate familiarity with the business, and their unique challenges/opportunities, and proactively engage on a continual basis to help foster a sense of partnership. Work with CEO and Executive Leadership on identifying areas of improvement and opportunity to service Company’s clients
    Work with Executive Leadership and staff on ideating, fostering and developing new products, service lines and thought leadership offerings.
  • Supervise the activities of staff, especially any direct reports. Mobilize and manage teams of individuals charged with executing projects.
  • Travel to oversee research execution, client presentations and sales opportunities and to represent the company at business events.

Research Operations Manager

Job Summary:

The Research Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring the processes are in place to fulfill quantitative and qualitative research projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the qualitative research recruiting process including selecting qualified participants, scheduling, vetting technical proficiency, and post-interview tasks.
  • Ongoing recruiting and nurturing of Destination Analysts’ Panels
  • Programs surveys and screeners into survey software. Manages data sample purchase, data collection, and quotas.
  • Manages data cleansing
  • Prepares data crosstabulations
  • Summarizes and analyzes data; makes recommendations related to research findings.
  • Produces reporting deliverables, complete with charts and graphs, as well as thoughtful written analysis.
