David Bratton, Destination Analysts Founder
Economist, humorist and educator, David Bratton, combines deep research-based insight and entertainment in his engaging presentations. Well-known for his pioneering destination research, Dave is a celebrated keynote speaker who has shared his tourism industry insights with both domestic and international audiences.
Bratton worked as an economist for the U.S. Department of Commerce, where he specialized in economic modeling and forecasting, and was a contributor to the journal, Survey of Current Business. Dave then spent eight years pioneering new research techniques and e-marketing promotions for the San Francisco Convention and Visitors Bureau, as director of electronic marketing and research. His work ranged from brand audits and advertising concept testing to groundbreaking quantitative studies, and his research program was praised as “best research practices in the nation” by a noted academic publication.
In 2003, Dave founded Destination Analysts, a market research company focused on the travel, tourism, and lifestyle industries. Dave’s singular ability to makes complex concepts easy to understand is the hallmark of his presentations, which challenge convention and bring a valuable new perspective to your group.

Erin has held the position of Senior Marketing Officer at Amtrak, where she was responsible for the marketing and advertising of Amtrak’s routes in the western United States. She was also a Marketing Manager at the San Francisco Convention and Visitors Bureau, where she directed and implemented the destination’s marketing programs and promotions, including the massively successful “Dine About Town” and San Francisco Crab Festival. As Managing Partner of Destination Analysts, the experts in travel and tourism research, Erin has planned and facilitated marketing studies and national consumer research for numerous clients, including Destination Marketing Organizations, attractions and wineries.
